About This Role The Head Nurse for the Behavioral Health Adult Clinic oversees the nursing regimen for patients, ensuring effective care and support. Highlights Pay: $116,159/year Location: Brooklyn, NY Facility: Kings County Hospital Center Department/Unit: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ADULT CLINIC Schedule: Full-Time, Day (8:00 A.M – 4:30 P.M), Alternating Weekends What You'll Do Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients. Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms. Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients. Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes to ensure continuity of care. Interpret and report patient responses to appropriate health team members. Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan comprehensive patient care programs. Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel. Participate in defining, implementing, and maintaining nursing practice standards. Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development. Maintain professional competence through continuing education and learning experiences. Requirements Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Head Nurse preferred Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York State Additional Compensation Annual education differential based on degree: Bachelors in allied health discipline = $900 Masters in allied health discipline = $1,200 Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) = $1,800 Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) = $2,000 Doctorate in Education, Nursing Practice or PhD in Nursing (DNP) = $2,500 Annual certification differential ranging from $1,878 up to $4,878 for recognized certifications. Annual nursing experience differential ranging from $1,042 up to $8,645 for up to 10 years of experience.
