About the Position

Felipe's Taqueria is hiring Restaurant Line Cooks to prepare and serve our scratch-made Mexican food. This is a guest-facing position on our service line where team members prepare customized burritos, tacos, bowls, quesadillas, salads, nachos and other menu items.

Line Cooks work together to provide friendly service, maintain food quality and keep the restaurant running smoothly. Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required. We provide training for team members who are ready to learn.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service
Prepare menu items according to each guest's selections
Follow recipes, portions and presentation standards
Prepare dine-in, takeout, online and catering orders
Keep the service line clean, stocked and organized
Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift
Rotate products and assist with receiving deliveries
Communicate with cooks, prep cooks, cashiers, bartenders and managers
Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures
Complete opening, shift-change and closing responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
Comfortable working directly with guests
Able to communicate and work effectively with a team
Able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Available to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Restaurant or food-service experience is preferred but not required

Scheduling

Full-time and part-time positions available
Morning, afternoon and evening shifts
Typical shifts are approximately six to eight hours
Weekend availability is preferred
