Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Overview Note: Travel Experience Required. The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced medical interventions. This role demands strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition. The RN collaborates with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU. Monitor patients’ vital signs, hemodynamic status, and responses to treatment. Administer medications, fluids, and advanced therapies as prescribed. Operate and manage life-support equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors. Assess patient conditions and intervene promptly in emergencies. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery expectations. Document patient care accurately and in compliance with hospital policies. Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards. Support patient transfers and coordinate care across departments. Required Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current RN license issued by the applicable state board of nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Prior experience in ICU, CCU, or emergency nursing. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, if applicable. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. Certifications RN license (state-specific). BLS certification (American Heart Association). ACLS certification (American Heart Association). PALS certification preferred. CCRN certification preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
