Key Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand how impactful their donation is. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again. Be detailed‑oriented throughout the day to ensure the blood you collect meets goals and regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. May drive Red Cross vehicles and work with the team to set up and tear down equipment at the donation sites; position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles. Standard Schedule (Salt Lake City, Utah) Varied schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays; overnight travel may be required in some locations. Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $17.95/hour Sign‑on bonus: $3,000.00 Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required. A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles. All staff work as a team to set up and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive at businesses, schools, and other locations. Basic computer skills are required; must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
