Insurance Agent Trainee

Role: Life Insurance Sales Agent Full-Time with Benefits. Field Role. Location(s) Sorrento, Louisiana Career and Opportunity We are committed to serving modest-income families and provide frequent personal home visits to collect premiums, conduct sales of new policies, and address service needs. New unlicensed agents begin with a paid training period where tools and guidance help them study for and pass licensing exams. Once licensed, agents receive a book of business and earn a percentage of collected premiums plus commissions on new sales. Compensation is pay‑for‑performance, allowing income growth with performance. Day-to-Day Activities Conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales Prospect for new sales opportunities Maintain strong relationships by collecting premiums on a schedule you set Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans Maintain records, account for money collected, and process policy paperwork Agent Expectations Grow the assigned territory through new sales Build strong working relationships with customers Devote the time necessary to fulfill responsibilities Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness Minimum Qualifications Customer service experience At least 18 years of age Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage Dependable vehicle for daily travel Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening Authorization to work in the United States Preparation Licensing: free access to study tools and guidance for licensing exams Training: onboarding development program with self-study, classroom instruction, and field mentoring by a Sales Manager On-the-Job Training: earn a paycheck while learning hands‑on experience Equal Opportunity Employer Kemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
