Total Compensation: $120–$180 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven  Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist to join an established Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness throughout Staten Island.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving stability, independence, and quality of life for vulnerable populations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adults with serious mental illness.
• Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up services.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists to coordinate treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to support client-centered care.
• Offer clinical guidance and consultation to behavioral health staff.
• Support psychiatric oversight and collaboration with advanced practice providers.
• Engage with family members, caregivers, and community supports when appropriate.
• Promote recovery-focused treatment approaches that emphasize independence and community integration.
• Assist in identifying and addressing barriers to treatment engagement and adherence.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Active New York medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills.
• Commitment to serving individuals with serious mental illness.
• Experience in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT).
• Background in community psychiatry or mobile behavioral health services.
• Experience working with high-acuity adult psychiatric populations.
• Familiarity with recovery-oriented and person-centered treatment models.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with psychiatric nurse practitioners.
