Billing Clerk (Part Time)We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Billing Clerk to support the revenue cycle and financial operations of the Advanced Diagnostic & Surgical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for billing, coding support, payment processing, account follow-up, and reporting to help ensure accurate and timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.Our Values:Put Patients FirstEmpower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care TeamsOperate with Integrity & ExcellenceBe InnovativeWork As One TeamWhat You'll Do:Perform daily billing, including primary, secondary, workers' compensation, and self-pay claimsMaintain CMS crossover processes and ensure accurate claim submissionApply appropriate ICD-9 and CPT/ASC coding for billed servicesPrepare patient accounts for billing and follow up to obtain missing or required informationPost payments, adjustments, and denials accurately on a daily basisReview EOBs and initiate timely follow-up on unpaid or denied claimsContact patients regarding co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances; issue monthly statementsPrepare and reconcile daily deposits; maintain copies of checks, EOBs, and transaction recordsRun daily transaction reports and support month-end close and reporting activitiesRespond to patient and payer inquiries in a professional and timely mannerMaintain organized filing of billing records, EOBs, and related documentationPerform additional duties as assigned by managerQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAt least two (2) years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting preferredBilingual Mandarin and/or Cantonese, or Spanish strongly preferredWorking knowledge of computers and billing systemsStrong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skillsAbility to communicate professionally with patients, payers, and internal stakeholdersYou'd be great for the role if:Experience in an ASC, diagnostic, or outpatient environmentFamiliarity with EHR and practice management systemsKnowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial payer requirementsKnowledge of ICD-9, CPT coding, and medical terminologyEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis. The office location is 1668 S Garfield Ave #100, Alhambra, CA 91801.Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5–6 hours daily. Shifts will be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.The total compensation target pay range for this role is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
