Job Description
MRI Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are available on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, providing support for other imaging technologists as needed to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist must demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed. Responsibilities include troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance, and resolving issues related to image processing and archiving systems. Ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within their scope of licensure are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform all MRI examinations and procedures as required.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
• Assist in patient throughput within the scope of the manager's license and competencies.
• Participate in quality assurance and safety checks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer experience required.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT required.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
