We’re currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Mechanic to join our team and play a crucial role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly.
Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment. You’ll work closely with the warehouse team to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellence and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other warehouse machinery.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Follow OSHA guidelines and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Develop and execute a preventative maintenance schedule.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ordering replacements as needed.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify and prioritize repairs.
Provide guidance to team members on proper use and care of equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanics is a plus.
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of forklift and machinery repair, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various warehouse conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Work at heights using ladders or lift platforms.
Tolerance for working in varying conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
