Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Radiology & CT

License: Florida CT/Rad Tech license

Certifications: BLS certification, ARRT certification in RD & CT

Must-Have:

• BLS certification (must be through the American Heart Association)
• ARRT certification in RD & CT
• Florida CT/Rad Tech license

Description:

Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports or responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. Will be required to float between X-ray and CT departments.
