Job Description Louisiana or compact RN License BLS (AHA) 2 years experience The Emergency Room RN provides rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illness, injury, or trauma. This role requires quick clinical judgment, effective prioritization, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. The ER RN manages multiple patients simultaneously while ensuring patient safety, timely interventions, and clear communication.

Client Details Setting Hospital City Metairie State LA Unit Details Procedures ER RNs perform rapid triage assessments, initiate emergency protocols, administer medications and IV therapies, assist with trauma resuscitations, and monitor patients with varying acuity levels. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, wound care, splinting, specimen collection, patient stabilization, and discharge education. ER RNs collaborate closely with physicians, EMS, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff, document care accurately in the EMR, and respond effectively to codes and critical events.
