Senior/Lead Pastor

Anderson Baptist Church is a Christ-centered congregation of approximately 75–100 people on a typical Sunday, located in the small community of Anderson, Texas.  We are a church family committed to biblical teaching, discipleship, worship, missions, and serving our community, and aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).

We are prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor who will faithfully preach and teach the whole counsel of God’s Word, shepherd our congregation, disciple believers, reach our community, and provide strong spiritual leadership as we enter our next season of ministry.  We value someone who can lead confidently, listen well, build trust, is mission minded, and will work alongside the congregation as we seek God’s direction for our future.

The Candidate should understand both the unique opportunities and responsibilities of ministry within a growing rural community and appreciate the relational nature of shepherding people in a community where long-standing relationships and new opportunities exist side by side.

Above all, we desire a pastor whose leadership consistently points people to Jesus Christ, equips believers for ministry, strengthens biblical unity, and advances the Great Commission.
