Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,272 per week

Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

RN-ICU

Shift:

• 12-Hour Nights, every other weekend, and one major holiday required

Submission Rules
Location & Floating

• Every other weekend required

Holiday Requirement:

• One major holiday required

On Call:

• 24-Bed High-Acuity Intensive Care

Beds:

• Typically 1:1-2 (may be 1:3 depending on acuity and unit needs)

Days:

• Sepsis, CVA, pneumonia, ARDS, respiratory failure, heart failure, renal failure, overdose, CIWA, and mixed critical care population (predominantly older adults).

Required Certifications
Must be attached at submission:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Minimum Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required

Preferred:

• 3 years of ICU experience strongly preferred
• Neuro background preferred
• Experience with Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients preferred

Required Skills

• Proficient with lab draws and peripheral IV starts
• Must read/verify rhythm strips
• Mechanical ventilation and sedation management
• Titrating vasoactive drips/pressors
• Point-of-care testing (EPOC and iStat)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients
