Substation Project ManagerWSP is seeking a Substation Project Manager for our Power & Energy Management Team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.This position is an integral member of the project team working closely with Project Management, Production, and Project Controls within our Client's Project Management office. The Project Manager is responsible for supporting, organizing, and controlling project activities with little oversight. And we need your help.Your ImpactProvide coordination, administrative, management, and analytic support for projectsCoordinate and communicate with all levels of management and disciplines throughout the project life cycle to support project cost and schedule objectives, both internally and within the client's systemsOversee project budgets, review costs, and ensure adherence to planned budgets to maintain client satisfaction and financial successDocument project deliverables, including correspondence, project changes, and project files, ensuring thorough record-keepingBe the face of WSP for the client. Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with client by understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring consistent communication to drive satisfaction and retentionBuild and maintain strong client relationships to support future opportunitiesIncludes client in-office presence 3+ days a week and periodic site visitsAdherence to proven processes and ability to develop new process to standardize proceduresAdhere to safety regulations and enforce project safety standardsDevelop and foster effective strategies to engage project stakeholders at all levels, maintain effective relationships, and report on project progressProvide verbal and/or written inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contribute to providing high level strategic advice to clientsCollaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide "trusted advisor" service and future ready solutions for clients.Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering7-10 years of relevant post education experience5+ years of substation physical and electrical design experienceAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsIntermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsStrong attention to detail and technical writing skillsHighly proficient understanding of project delivery process within the Power Delivery/Utility industry and strong background and experience in project managementAdvanced proficiency with analytical and organizational skills, with business acumen to bridge the business and project managementAdvanced proficiency with interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively, persuasively, and tactfully with leadership, subcontractors, and employees at all levels of the organizationExcellent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and adjusting readily to the changing prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environmentWorks independently and provides guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior level team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QCAdvanced proficiency with technical writing, office automation, relevant software, MS Office suite products (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint), technology, spreadsheets, and PM toolsAbility to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, subcontractors, consultants, and company-wide staff, including those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship existsProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesStrong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet project-specific needsJob InfoJob Identification 85532
