What You'll Do
- Set up, program, and operate Danobat and Studer CNC ID cylindrical grinders to achieve exacting tolerances and surface finishes.
- Knowledge of Overbeck and Heald manual grinders a Plus.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine grinding requirements.
- Select and dress grinding wheels for optimal performance and finish quality.
- Measure and inspect parts using bore gauges and other precision instruments.
- Troubleshoot and adjust setups to maintain accuracy throughout production runs.
- Collaborate with machinists, quality inspectors, and engineers to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain equipment in peak condition through routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience operating CNC ID cylindrical grinders in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to work with tight tolerances (±0.0002") and fine surface finishes.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools and interpreting technical drawings.
- A meticulous, detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
