Associate Project Manager (Contract)

Location: [Hybrid / Lansing, Michigan] Rate: $45/hour (1099) About the Role We’re looking for an Associate Project Manager to support and drive project execution across multiple workstreams. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience who can manage smaller projects independently while supporting larger initiatives led by senior team members. Responsibilities Support end to end project delivery from kickoff through completion Manage timelines, task tracking, and coordination across teams Lead smaller projects or workstreams with minimal oversight Provide status updates, reporting, and communication to stakeholders Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate when needed Maintain project documentation and ensure deliverables stay on track Facilitate meetings, capture action items, and drive follow ups Qualifications 2 to 5 years of experience in project management, project coordination, or similar role Strong organizational and multitasking skills Clear and professional communication skills Ability to work independently and stay accountable to deadlines Experience with tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or MS Project Basic understanding of Agile or Waterfall methodologies Nice to Have Experience in consulting, IT, or public sector environments Exposure to enterprise or client facing projects CAPM certification or working toward PMP $45/hr 1099 Basis
