An established and growing General Contractor with a strong pipeline of projects focused on Commercial Construction projects (Ground Up and Renovation)
Job Description
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
- Manage project documentation, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout packages.
- Track project schedules, budgets, commitments, and cost reports.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Review and process subcontractor invoices and payment applications.
- Assist in procurement and buyout activities, including obtaining bids and preparing subcontract agreements.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential schedule or budget impacts.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranty documentation, and turnover packages.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, or assistant project management.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and project administration processes.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to grow professionally within the construction industry.
