Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

Warrenton, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-hour Emergency Department serving patients across the full age spectrum
• Perform core ER clinical tasks including phlebotomy, IV placement, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
• Utilize Meditech EHR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Maintain a patient-centered approach focused on creating a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics
• Float on a rare basis to units appropriate to skill level or in a supportive capacity as needed
• Maintain all required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to independently perform all standard ER clinical tasks
• Self-motivated and self-sufficient with strong clinical judgment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Experience with Meditech EHR
• Team-oriented personality with a focus on collaborative patient care
• Demonstrated ability to balance patient experience with operational efficiency
