The posted compensation range of $35.38 - $50.69/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized RN to join our Pre-Surgical Evaluation team.

In this role, you'll help patients feel informed, prepared, and confident before surgery. You'll complete pre-op assessments, review medical histories, coordinate care needs, and make sure patients are medically ready for their procedure before they ever arrive in surgery.

If you're the kind of nurse who catches the little things, communicates well, and likes a structured but fast-moving environment—this role is a great fit.

What You'll Do

• Complete pre-surgical nursing assessments and patient screenings
• Review medical history, medications, labs, and pre-op testing
• Educate patients on what to expect before surgery and answer questions
• Identify potential concerns and collaborate with providers to ensure safe surgical planning
• Coordinate with surgical teams, providers, and departments to keep care running smoothly
• Document assessments and patient communication accurately and efficiently
• Support a calm, compassionate experience for patients before surgery

What We're Looking For

• RN license in ND or compact state
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask independently
• Comfortable working with patients over the phone and in clinical settings
• BLS certification required within orientation period
• Previous nursing experience preferred, especially in surgical services, pre-op, PACU, clinic, or acute care
