Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a progressive care unit (PCU). The RN will provide high-quality patient care and manage a diverse range of diagnosis including cardiac, respiratory, and renal conditions.Shift InformationShift: Nights (18:45 - 07:15)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minorUnit DetailsUnit Type: StepdownNumber of Beds: 20Patient Ratios: 1:3 (maximum 1:4 if there is medical overflow)Support Staff: Nurse aids with ratios of 1:7 during days and 1:11 during nightsResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care and maintain patient safety.Administer medications and titrate IV drips as needed.Monitor and assess patients' health status, including telemetry readings.Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.Participate in unit orientation and continuous education.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, particularly in cardiac and respiratory care.Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.Experience with titrating drips (e.g., Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone) is necessary.Valid driver's license is required for submission.Additional InformationOrientation specific to the unit will be provided for 2 shifts.Floating may be required to ICU or Med/Surg units.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color/design except purple for scrub tops; any color except purple for pants.
