Interventional Radiology Technologist Travel Job

IR Tech Opportunity

Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an IR Tech and use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be responsible for the operation and quality assurance of imaging equipment, patient monitoring, and support of vascular and neuro-interventional procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• 2 years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience with references.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Graduate from an AMA-approved accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• BLS certification.
• Valid state radiologic technologist license for Florida.
• Experience with GE biplane suite / Mac Lab or equivalent interventional imaging equipment.
• Critical care or procedural area experience supporting 1:1 procedural patient ratios.

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro-interventional radiology experience.
• Trauma IR experience.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:0017:30.
• Typical staffing: procedural area 810 staff; day procedural team includes approximately 5 techs and 5 RNs.
• Patient ratio: procedural 1:1.
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.

As a member of the imaging team, you will contribute to a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center environment. Typical procedures include neuro-interventions, angiograms, embolizations, biopsies, and other ancillary IR procedures. The unit fosters learning, teamwork, and professional growth under experienced leadership.

The area offers proximity to the Gulf Coast beaches such as Honeymoon Island and Clearwater Beach within a 3050 minute drive, and it is approximately 35 miles north of downtown Tampa offering urban amenities and international airport access.
