About us

UDesign School of Art is a creative Design and Art studio located in Irvine, Orange County with various design programs, like Furniture Design, Transportation Design, Apparel (Fashion) Design, Industrial Design, Architecture Design, Toy Design, Interior Design and more. We aim to educate students with foundation classes in design principles to specific art classes from college design majors. Unlike other traditional art studios, we take a more contemporary approach to teaching and creating fine arts with diverse art mediums. We strive to offer an unbounded art environment by offering different art mediums and techniques to let students explore, imagine, design, learn, and create. We also have a strong focus on incorporating art history references and introducing the professional and educational art world to our students.

The primary function of this position is to manage and maintain the design studio. To supervise and schedule hourly design studio employees. To provide assistance to the Design Center Director.

The followings are the functions essential to performing this job:

• Oversee and maintain the design studio assets - computers, iPads, furniture, toys, art materials, etc.
• Manage the inventories, orders, and budget concerns associated with all materials used in the design studio areas.
• Foster studio revenue by proactively engaging in marketing and sales activities.
• Assist the Design Center Director in creating and posting marketing materials in social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.
• Maintain customer relations by answering questions and addressing concerns independently.
• Support the Design and Art faculty with instructional technology equipment needs.
• Supervise and schedule all hourly employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
