Pay: $1216.00 weekly


Shifts: Evening Shift: 3p-11:30p, Monday through Friday, every third weekend


Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Akron, OH. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of surgical instruments and equipment. As part of a team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment under the direction of a Unit Manager/Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Inspect, test, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Identify and assemble surgical instrumentation using count sheets
• Perform biological and chemical monitoring of sterilizers daily
• Apply proper procedures in the operation of washers and sterilizers
• Perform all functions of flexible endoscope decontamination
• Receive and track loaner and borrowed instrumentation
• Act as liaison with individuals responsible for ordering supplies
• Respond to requests to locate instrumentation and supplies

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current HSPA or CBSP Certification
• 2+ years of recent experience in sterile processing
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and handle physical demands
• Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology for surgical applications
