The Retail Management Trainee develops comprehensive expertise across store functions while preparing for advancement into department management, store management, and multi-unit leadership. The role receives training in sales and customer experience, operations and compliance, inventory and merchandising, and other store functions, with occasional travel between store locations. Direct supervision and mentoring are provided by the store manager, district manager, regional training team, and an assigned management mentor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations and compliance activities.
• Deliver customer service and support sales initiatives.
• Assist with inventory management and control.
• Execute merchandising and visual presentation standards.
• Support staff scheduling and team supervision.
• Manage cash-handling activities and help prevent loss.
• Prepare and review performance reports.
• Travel occasionally between store locations during training.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail operations and point-of-sale systems.
• Experience with inventory control and visual merchandising.
• Knowledge of sales techniques and cash handling.
• Strong customer service and team leadership skills.
• Conflict-resolution experience.
