Oncology - Radiation Physician

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncologist to join their comprehensive cancer center located off-site from a hospital environment. This engaging opportunity involves participation in tumor board meetings, chart rounds, and providing both clinic and limited inpatient consultation services. The role boasts a supportive team environment with experienced staff and no call responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and administer radiation treatment plans to adult patients.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including oncology-certified RNs, dieticians, and radiation therapists.
Participate actively in tumor board discussions and chart rounds.
Manage approximately 14 treatment volumes daily, consult 8 patients weekly, and conduct 20 follow-ups.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
Active PA license or IMLC LOQ required
DEA certification required
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
No call responsibilities

Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR system
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Experience or familiarity with special procedures such as lung SBRT
