Conduct routine check-ups to assess patients health conditions. Conduct examinations of patients with illnesses. Intake and update the patients medical history. Plus, you feel great about the part you play in helping our doctors and staff provide excellent care./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliInterviews, examines and diagnoses patients during clinic visits./liliOrders appropriate diagnostic tests, interprets results, and communicates appropriate treatment options to patients. May refer patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary./liliReviews and maintains patients records and medical histories in timely fashion and records patients progress./liliMay perform minor surgical procedures such as wound care, suturing, joint aspirations and injections and administering immunizations./liliPrescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions. Discusses potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensures that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing./liliProvides education and counseling to patients and their families that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing/liliAccurately records correct healthcare diagnoses to ensure correct billing./liliStays current on the latest medical research, practices and procedures impacting clinical care./liliAdheres to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards./liliMaintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA, federal and state health information privacy laws./liliCompletes administrative assignments as requested by Medical Director and partners with providers within practice to ensure a collaborative environment./liliActively participates in monthly provider team meetings and performance reviews with Medical Director./li/ulh3Requirements:/h3pstrongRequired/strong/pulliCurrent Florida License (Full or ACN) or ability to obtain one/liliBLS certification/liliEMR experience/liliPrimary Care Physician practice experience/liliExperience managing Medicare Advantage patients or Value-Based Care/li/ulpstrongPreferred/strong/pullieClinicalWorks (eCW) experience/liliBoard Eligible/Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine/liliFully bilingual (English/Spanish)/li/ulh3About IMA Medical Group:/h3pIMA Medical Group is a visionary and dynamic company focused on high-quality primary care services, with doctors and professionals dedicated to the health and well-being of the elderly.
