Club Manager The Club Manager is the leader of a BJ's Wholesale Club. The role oversees all operational aspects, drives profitability, delivers a superior member experience, and manages a high‑performing team of club staff. Responsibilities Lead the team with vision and purpose, communicating direction and validating results. Create a club culture that challenges employees, encourages growth, and recognizes achievements. Manage talent, build a strong bench, hold team members accountable, and provide constructive feedback. Communicate essential information clearly, explaining the “why” and keeping messaging simple. Make decisions that align with company priorities and support operational goals. Monitor local competition, current retail trends, and market conditions. Control operating costs, establish efficiencies, and implement new concepts to maximize profitability. Embrace company values, ensuring the team reflects the core purpose. Create a shopping experience that exceeds member expectations. Meet planned profit objectives through effective techniques, technology, and productivity enhancements. Monitor expenses and adjust expenditures to achieve profit goals. Attain planned sales volume via supervision of warehouse management and communication with the Home Office. Maintain a roadmap for achieving key performance targets set by the Home Office (e.g., productivity, audit, shrink, turnover). Qualifications 4+ years of experience as a retail, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager. Demonstrated ability to drive results, maintain a strong work ethic, and commit to high service levels. Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to motivate a large team. Solid understanding of profit & loss statements, shrink control, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution. High school diploma and/or college degree preferred. Open shift availability required. Minimum age 18 years. Benefits Weekly pay. Pay varies with location, experience, and other qualifying factors. Physical Requirements Frequent movement on hard surfaces; occasional bending, pulling, reaching, climbing, stooping.
