Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on a Respiratory unit, including care of COVID-positive patients
• Float occasionally to various Medical-Surgical units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders as needed
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; competency in telemetry will be assessed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR — current proficiency is required from day one
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care across multiple unit settings

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry — candidates will be assessed on this skill
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required — must be independently proficient; on-site training or 1:1 orientation for Epic is not available

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for respiratory or COVID-positive patient populations
• Familiarity with specialty Med-Surg populations such as Oncology, Stroke, Wound Care, or Cardiac
• Experience floating across multiple units in an acute care environment
