Custodian - 3rd ShiftEaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Custodian - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits that we offer:Health benefits effective day one of employment.Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!What You'll Do:In the Custodian role, you will provide expertise and support for our general cleaning functions within our production areas with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton's quality standards.In this function, you will:Performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.Emptying and cleaning trash and recycling bins.Performing minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs and replacing paper towel dispensers.Reporting major maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton's quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process.Perform quality checks as instructed.Receive and carry out work assignments from management and internal customers so as to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner. Closely follow established procedures for completing assigned function and perform special assignments and/or projects as assigned.Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals.Keep assigned work-area clean and organized per 5S standards.Work with members of a team to effectively complete work assignment.Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills so as to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process.Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.Perform routine preventative maintenance when required to ensure peak performance of all manufacturing equipment.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution. A minimum of one (1) year of experience with industrial cleaning preferred. Experience with using a buffer, auto scrubber and carpet extractor. Proficient with computer applications.
