About the Position

Job Title: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification Must-Have: - Ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arrival. - Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment. Description: The role involves performing and documenting frequent neurological assessments, including the NIH Stroke Scale. Monitoring and interpreting telemetry rhythms and responding to changes in real time are essential duties. Ensuring compliance with stroke core measures such as dysphagia screening, education, and care plans is critical. Medication administration must adhere to safety and accuracy standards. Coordination of care with an interdisciplinary team is required, including providers, therapy, and case management. Managing admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment is a key responsibility. A constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety is necessary. Completion of 8 hours of stroke training is required.
