Lexus Carlsbad is seeking an energetic and reliable Sales Lot Porter to support the daily operations of our dealership. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Position Summary

The Sales Lot Porter plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-ready dealership environment. This position is responsible for organizing vehicle inventory, ensuring all vehicles are operational and displayed properly, supporting showroom merchandising, handling vehicle photography, and assisting with dealership appearance and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the new and pre-owned vehicle inventory on the dealership lot. Each car is to be grouped by model type and parked in a straight line.
• Move, park, and wash vehicles safely throughout the dealership as needed.
• Start and inspect vehicles daily to ensure readiness for customers and jump-start vehicles with discharged batteries when necessary.
• Monitor and maintain electric vehicle charging, ensuring EV inventory remains fully charged as well as make sure gas vehicles have gas in the tank.
• Ensure showroom vehicles are properly displayed and merchandised.
• Assist in maintaining an attractive and organized dealership appearance.
• Restock customer snack and beverage stations throughout the day.
• Transport vehicles between departments as needed.
• Greet and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain accurate awareness of vehicle locations on the property and keep vehicle keys organized.
• Support management with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, and move vehicles throughout the workday.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

• Previous automotive porter, lot attendant, or dealership experience.
• Experience operating both gas and electric vehicles.
• Familiarity with vehicle photography and inventory management.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment.
