EEG Technician

Neurology TechnicianThe neurology technician is responsible for providing various electroencephalogram studies (Routine, Sleep Deprived, LTM EEG,) as ordered by a physician for patients from adult to geriatric age. In addition, this individual will act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG system and long-term EEG monitoring systems.Position ResponsibilitiesPerforms various types of encephalogram studiesMaintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems. Clips long-term monitoring studies to reduce required server space.Obtains patient history from medical record, documents information in digital EEG system. Ensures patient orders and charges are correct and appropriate.Required Experience: A minimum of one year adult experience is preferred must be in a clinical setting. Knowledge of digital EEG systems is preferred. ABRET pathways considered.Required Education: High school education, college education preferred. Graduate of accredited EEG program preferred. Must qualify for ABRET registry examination under at least ONE current ABRET pathway.Training / Certification / Licensure: BLS, board eligible via ABRET pathway, R.EEG. T Registry within two years of hire.Hourly Rate: $28.63 - $44.54 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
