Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Senior REIT Attorney Associate or Special Counsel to join a nationally recognized Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) practice in New York. This opportunity offers immediate client exposure, strong mentorship, professional development, and business development opportunities.Location
New York, NY
Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on REIT-related legal and transactional matters.
Support sophisticated transactions involving real estate investment trusts.
Draft, review, and negotiate REIT-related agreements and transaction documents.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and work directly with clients on complex matters.
Participate in client development and practice growth initiatives.
6+ years of relevant transactional legal experience preferred.
Prior REIT experience required.
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Licensed to practice law or eligible for admission in New York.
Senior-level experience appropriate for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel position.
$225,000–$435,000 Base Salary, depending on experience and seniority.
This reflects the firm's published associate salary scale. Special Counsel compensation is determined separately based on qualifications and experience.
