Marketing Specialist

GENERAL SUMMARY The Marketing Specialist provides support to Housing New Mexico’s Marketing and Communications Department. This position is responsible for a wide range of duties to include, product ordering, clerical support, branding efforts, graphic design, website, social media, eblasts and external communications, photography and video editing, and assisting in event planning and execution. In addition, the role also assists in internal communication efforts and serves as backup for constituent services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Event Support: Assist in planning and preparing material for various events (banners, signs, outreach materials) Responsible for photography and videography coverage at events (internal and external) Assist with various initiatives, such as Homeownership Day/Month, Weatherization Day, vendor relations, New Mexico Housing Summit, Open House, Regional Housing Forum Graphic Design, Website, Social Media, and Video Editing: Creates logo animation designs Designs/edits various marketing materials and booklets Assists with advertising efforts such as billboards, signage, ads, research Assists with branding efforts within Housing New Mexico Designs HubSpot eblast templates Performs website content updates and edits Drafts and posts social media content Designs virtual backgrounds Creates/edits branded PowerPoints Promotional/Branded Products: Assists Digital Content Managers with ordering and distributing employee business cards Assists Digital Content Managers with ordering and distributing employee name tags Orders branded promotional items Assists with lender gift ordering, organizing, mailing, and distribution Clerical and Administrate Support: Assists with scanning, printing, proof reading, template creation and intranet postings Assists with organizing and managing invoices and receipts Monitors department emails (View email address on click.appcast.io inbox) and distributes to team accordingly Update various materials such as the Housing Directory, Style Guide, Social Media Policy, internal and external manuals, and informative packets Organization of Product and Supply: Organizes and maintains marketing storage room Organizes and maintains fact sheet supply shelf Restocks workrooms with marketing supplies Serves as back up to Digital Content Managers for constituent services Performs other related duties as assigned that are consistent in nature with the role’s primary responsibilities, including support for marketing, communications, outreach, and administrative initiatives as needed Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, and protocols MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or related fields.
