Rate: $41.06 per hour 

*Per Diem Remote Position* 

(Serving Morris and Sussex Counties)

Work hours: Per Diem (1st shift 7am-3pm, 2nd shift 3pm-11pm, and 3rd shift 11pm-7am availability)

Rate: $41.06 per hour

Serving Warren/Hunterdon/Somerset County

Work hours: Per Diem (1st shift 7am-3pm, 2nd shift 3pm-11pm, and 3rd shift 11pm-7am availability)

Position Overview:   MCORT Master’s Level Supervisors provide remote backup to the MCORT staff in the field. Master’s Level Supervisors are on-call for up to six MCORTs across a region at one time. Master’s Level Supervisors are engaged when the bachelor’s level professional in the field deems it is necessary to engage a higher-level clinician to assess and determine the most appropriate interventions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment by using person-first language, respectful documentation, and person-centered crisis planning. All services provided will promote wellness and recovery outcomes with positive outcomes for persons receiving MCORT services.
• A culture of compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, laws, and high ethical standards.
• Immediately respond to the MCORT Bachelors Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide clinical guidance crisis intervention and de-escalation when the team is dispatched and on site. Will provide clinical guidance and debriefing after the outreach as necessary per the needs of the team.
• Will provide necessary assessment, via remote technology, to include mini mental status, PHQ9, C-SSRS, Zero Suicide or other tool in support of the crisis intervention outreach.
• Ensure that the teams have the clinical support and direction to provide thorough crisis intervention services to include engagement, crisis de-escalation/crisis intervention, crisis planning, community resource referral/warm handoff whenever necessary, follow-up call scheduling and satisfaction survey for CQI (continuous quality improvement).
• Excellent in assessing the situation based on qualifying questions asked of the MCORT team when onsite during a crisis dispatch and makes decisions to support the team and person(s) served by the team for crisis intervention/de-escalation.
• Provides support to the team for community referral options based on the assessment and person-centered crisis intervention plan.
• Whenever necessary, speaks with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and/or PESS, law enforcement/EMS when the crisis is not resolved through crisis intervention of the MCORT team.
• Communicates with the director to improve service provision and whenever necessary for supervision.
• Will review the crisis intervention plan and case notes for each dispatch that aligns with scheduled shift and provide supervision, direction, teaching and debriefing to the team at the close of the dispatch or at the close of the shift depending on the volume of dispatches for the shift.
• Master’s Level Supervisors will review and sign-off on at least 20% of MCORTs reports for quality assurance purposes.
• Attends peer supervision as assigned with other MCORT Master’s Level Supervisors to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency.

Other Skills/Abilities:

• Provision of crisis intervention supervision for team members including listening skills, decision making incrisis situations, ability to assess situations through remote discussions with team members, crisisintervention planning to include knowledge of resource linkage and follow-up protocols,
• Knowledge of community partners within the region and of the crisis system in the region.

Requirements

Education/Certifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology and LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LSW, LAC orLAMFT required.

Experience:

• 2 years post masters full time equivalent professional experience in a psychiatric setting with persons 18and above, including at least one year of supervisory experience required. Professionals with crisissetting experience preferred.

Driver’s License, Vehicle:

• Valid driver’s license required
• No more than one moving violation
