Registered Nurse – NICU Join Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth as a Registered Nurse in our NICU. NICU Opportunities Our NICU is a fast‑paced environment that includes high‑acuity patients. Patient Population: Micro preemies to Full Term Infants (22 weeks to term gestation) Patient Ratios: 1:1-3 Number of Beds: 63 beds Department Specifics: Neonatologist and NNP in‑house 24/7, Multidisciplinary Team Approach, Multidisciplinary Respiratory Modalities, Daily Multidisciplinary Patient Care Rounds, Electronic Self‑Scheduling, No Float to Adult Care, Active Unit Based Council, NICU Parent Advocacy Group Shift: FT Nights; 7pm-7am Experience: 2 years of recent Level 3 NICU experience Job Summary Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans; adjust plans to reach desired outcomes. Build therapeutic relationships, manage discomfort, stay professional, and engage patients and families. Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members; assess and document learning needs. Collaborate with colleagues and the community to create a care plan, delegate tasks, and follow up promptly. Apply problem‑solving strategies; recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery. Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth, and contribute to peer development and community service. Key Success Factors Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, guidelines, and hospital procedures. Proficiency in medical terms, disease prevention, management, common medications, and side effects. Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with diverse parties. Excellent problem‑solving capabilities and critical thinking. Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling, payroll systems, EMR, and email. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program. 2 years of Level III NICU experience required. RN license. Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting.
