Strategy and Business Development Senior Staff - Skunk Works Location: Palmdale, CA What You Will Be Doing Provide strategy and business development support across the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Enduring Programs portfolio, from opportunity shaping to capture and sustaining program sales. Communicate operational capability, cost‐of‐ownership benefits, and customer needs to decision makers at all levels. Execute customer engagements, build relationships, and deliver Lockheed Martin Aero messages. Lead market development, opportunity qualification, customer relationship management, decision mapping, competitive intelligence, customer analysis, competitor assessment, and message/strategy development. Who You Are Strategic, relationship‑driven business development professional with deep knowledge of aerospace, defense, and government acquisition environments. You excel at creating growth strategies, interpreting market dynamics, and influencing strategic outcomes across the business development lifecycle. Basic Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in advanced technology development and/or operation. Bachelor’s Degree. Experience crafting presentations for senior decision makers. Experience working across organizational boundaries and leading customer meetings and cross‑discipline teams. Experience managing multiple competing priorities under pressure. Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance with SAP/SAR/SCI (with CI POLY) accesses. Understanding of command and control architectures and related Ground Control Stations for Unmanned Aircraft, Surface Vehicles, and/or Under Water Vehicles. Experience with all phases of capturing new business and the proposal process. Desired Skills Knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Understanding of Autonomy and its application to U.S. military systems. Knowledge of the U.S. military Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. Knowledge of the U.S. military defense acquisition process, including foreign military sales and direct commercial sales. Knowledge of U.S. military organizational structure and operational doctrine. Knowledge of U.S. legislative processes and practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Quickly grasp technology concepts and translate their value to customers. Utilize political skills to manage conflict. Ability to travel and adapt to changing business priorities. Security Clearance Position requires a government security clearance; must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level: Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years. Pay Rate Annual base salary range in California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC: $128,400 – $226,435.
