Accounts Receivable Clerk

Company Overview PHC Group is a leading manufacturer of laboratory equipment serving life science facilities worldwide. Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk Location Hybrid role with office in Wood Dale, IL. Onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays. Responsibilities Follow established policies for credit, accounts receivable, and cash application. New account setup, customer maintenance, cash applications, invoice collections, deduction dispute resolution. Collection of open and past due invoices, deduction resolution, account reconciliation. Run and analyze A/R aged trial balance to identify delinquency issues and suggest corrective actions. Review Order Block for Release and prepare requests for Credit Line Increase per policy. Build positive relations with internal and external customers by resolving and escalating requests promptly. Assist in month-end reporting, analytics and metrics. Special projects including internal control analysis, audit support, and process improvements. Receive training on cash application and credit responsibilities. Qualifications College degree preferred; high school diploma required. Minimum 3 years in credit, accounts receivable, or cash application roles. Knowledge of accounting, credit, collections, banking, sales tax, and finance functions. Experience with Microsoft AX Dynamics, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills. Preferred: National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) classes. Compensation Hourly rate $25–$30, plus eligibility for a 10% annual discretionary bonus. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), holiday pay, vacation.
