Academic Nocturnist

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Nocturnist Physician you will help Dignity Health Medical Group patients receive expert inpatient care so they can achieve optimal health outcomes and recovery. Everyday you will deliver direct patient care for complex internal medicine conditions, ranging from diabetes management to critical illness intervention. You will be expected to perform inpatient consultations, efficiently discharge patients from emergency and clinical decision units, and contribute to the education of medical students and residents, ensuring the highest standards of clinical competency and continuous learning within a leading medical center. To be successful in this role, you must possess extensive experience in managing a high-acuity patient census, a strong commitment to quality improvement initiatives, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team. The hospital has approximately 78,000 emergency department annual visits and is the busiest Level 1 trauma center in the state of Arizona, with over 5000 trauma activations annually. It is also a primary stroke center, high volume neurosurgery center, and provides high acuity cardiovascular and cardiac surgery services. Critical care services are provided in house, 24 hours a day, by attending intensivists. Dignity Health Arizona, Creighton University East Valley Internal Medicine Residency Program is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Nocturnist with training in Internal Medicine to join our established Internal Medicine Residency Program in Chandler Arizona. Alternate between Chandler Regional Medical Center, which is a 465-bed high-acuity Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, which is a 219-bed acute care community hospital.
