Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Inpatient/Residential Psychiatry Locums Job Outside of San Antonio, Texas

Join a structured inpatient psychiatric team at a State Hospital, providing care to adult patients with complex mental health needs in a residential setting.

Key Highlights:
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Flexible options: 5x8s or 4x10s (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday)
Onsite coverage needed
No Call required
Start: ASAP (pending clearance)
Assignment: 6 months with option to extend

Setting & Responsibilities:
Inpatient/residential psychiatric care
Treat dually diagnosed adult patients
Perform psychiatric evaluations and face-to-face assessments
Respond to emergencies and restraint situations
Collaborate with facility care team and follow HHSC policies

Requirements:
Active Texas Medical License (no sanctions)
Board Certified
Active DEA
CPR certification (AHA-approved)
Must be credentialed with facility hospitals
