Senior Commercial Landscaping Estimator - Landscaping - Base Salary to 125k/year - Los Angeles, CA Our client is an established commercial landscape and irrigation contractor serving general contractors, public agencies, developers, institutions, and commercial property teams throughout Southern California. Their work includes commercial and public-sector landscape construction, planting, soil preparation, irrigation installation, and related project coordination. As Senior Commercial Landscaping Estimator, you will lead the estimating process from early-stage conceptual budgets through final bid submission and project handoff. This role is responsible for developing detailed estimates for commercial and public-sector landscape projects and coordinating with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients throughout the preconstruction and bidding process. Responsibilities: Study and analyze civil, architectural, and landscape drawings, blueprints, plans, and specifications Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop estimates for materials, labor, equipment, landscape installation, planting, soil preparation, and irrigation scopes Prepare estimates throughout all phases of design, including conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction documents Develop conceptual budgets, detailed cost estimates, and final bid proposals for commercial and public-sector landscape projects Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals and pricing Negotiate subcontractor, vendor, and client pricing as part of the estimating and bidding process Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Lead RFP responses and prepare and submit competitive bid proposals Identify technical requirements, scope considerations, project logistics, and potential estimating issues during preconstruction Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects from estimating through project handoff Review estimating work and provide guidance to junior estimators Qualifications: Commercial or public-sector landscape industry experience required, including landscape construction and/or irrigation projects Experience estimating commercial or public-sector landscape projects across multiple project phases, including conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction documents Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and developing material, labor, and equipment estimates Experience reviewing civil, architectural, and landscape plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications Experience preparing conceptual budgets, cost estimates, RFP responses, bid proposals, and final bid submissions Experience reviewing and mentoring junior estimators Experience negotiating subcontractor, vendor, and/or client pricing Advanced computer skills, including experience with estimating software Compensation: Base salary in the 100k - 125k/year range Medical, dental, vision Hybrid work schedule for the right candidate Full-time position Based in Sylmar | Projects throughout Southern California #J-18808-Ljbffr Gilder Search Group
