Requirements Position Overview: Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) Coverage Purpose: Temporary access during recruitment phase Duration: Immediate start for 6 months with an extension option Work Environment: Outpatient clinic Responsibilities: Focus on follow-up appointments for patients on treatment, scheduled at intervals of 3, 6, and 12 months. Engage in coordination of care through emails with ancillary services. Responsible for ordering oncology-related tests and refilling prescriptions. Manage a patient panel composed of follow-up and on-treatment individuals, dependent on candidate’s capabilities. Schedule & Availability: Working hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, involving four 10-hour shifts per week, with a preference for flexible scheduling. No on-call responsibilities required. Patient Load: Anticipated caseload of approximately 20 patients per day, with additional duties related to administrative tasks such as emails and follow-ups. Support Structure: The NP will be assisted by Medical Assistants (MA) and Case Managers responsible for care coordination. Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Utilization of EPIC system for patient documentation and management. Qualifications: Board Certified Nurse Practitioners.
