Locums | OB/GYN | Office + L&D, 1 in 4 Call | Richmond, VA (Virginia license, local candidates) Why This Role

• Ongoing coverage with a collaborative team — 4 physicians, 5 midwives, 5 APPs
• Strong support: 1:1 clinical staff per provider (CMA/LPN/RN), onsite lab and ultrasound
• Mostly low-risk OB (90% low-risk, 10% high-risk) with a manageable GYN mix
• Epic EMR, Level III NICU on site
Assignment Details
• Coverage: ongoing
• Setting: office + hospital (OB-GYN call)
• Schedule: office hours 8–4 for the patient schedule; 24-hour call each day; weekdays include the office schedule as well
• Call: 1 in 4, managed through PerfectServe
• Volume: 25–30 scheduled patients/day; ~3 exam rooms per provider
• GYN surgeries: ~1–4/day depending on case (provider preference)
• C-section rate ~10%
• NICU Level III; Trauma Level 2
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: ~120 days from submission to onboarding
Clinical Details
• OB required: low-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasound performance + interpretation, Level I/screening (viability); techs complete scans for provider reads
• L&D required: routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps, c-section decision-making), complicated delivery (c-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions), VBACs, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• GYN required: office/minor (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), surgical GYN (open; laparoscopic diagnostic/minor — tubal ligation, LOAs; operative/major — ectopic, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
Requirements
• Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN
• Active Virginia license
• Local candidates only
• BLS / ACLS
• Clean malpractice and background
• Self-query NPDB (pulled within 30 days), required at presentation
Compensation
• Rate negotiable, open to your number
• Malpractice provided
