Operator I - CNC Operator |2nd Shift

Job Summary We’re a growing company offering challenging work and ongoing career development. The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, seeks a CNC Machine Operator I for 2nd Shift. The hourly wage ranges from $21.30 to $27.87 with a 15% shift premium. As a CNC Machine Operator I, you will operate CNC production machinery, ensure parts meet specifications, maintain equipment, enforce safety and quality standards, and collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals. Key Responsibilities Operate production equipment such as mills and lathes. Inspect products to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards. Perform routine daily machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols. Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on production machinery as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with prior hands‑on, vocational, or job‑related coursework/training, or similar education/experience. Experience with HAAS machines or similar equipment. Strong basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.). Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs. Preferred: Previous experience in a custom manufacturing environment. Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with HAAS machines or similar equipment. Work Environment Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. May involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
