Accountant III

Job TitleResponsibilities:Perform technical tax analyses in the highly specialized areas of regulated investment companies (Subchapter M) and investment partnershipsPrepare tax provisions, ASC 740 documentation, and financial statement tax disclosuresPrepare and/or review the calculation of fund distributions in accordance with excise tax requirementsInteract with external auditorsUpdate department training materialsAssist in establishing department policies, procedures and timelinesMake recommendations for improvements to department processes and proceduresComplete department tracking and reportingAdditional duties as requested or assignedMinimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalentOne to three years of experience in mutual fund taxStrong knowledge of mutual fund industry and mutual fund tax and accountingStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projectsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills including MS Word and ExcelVBA experience a plus but not required
