Clinic is open 7 days per week, 8:00am-7:30pmWork Arrangement: On-siteDepartment: Jackson Road Urgent CareFacility: Urgent Care – Jackson Road – 516 Jackson Road, Boonville, MO Compensation:· Base Pay Range:o Medical Assistant: $16.68 - $28.27 per hour, based on experienceo LPN: $22.14 - $34.59 per hour, based on experience· Choose Between Sign-On Bonus -OR- Retention Rewardso Sign-On Bonus:§ Medical Assistant: $1,500§ LPN: $5,000o Retention Rewards: Up to $15,000§ Relocation Support: Additional $5,000 if moving from over 50 miles away§ Retention Reward (Option 1): $2,000 per year for up to 5 years, totaling $10,000§ Student Loan Repayment (Option 2): $2,000 per year toward student loans, up to 5 years, totaling $10,000o Note: Details will be provided during the HR interview. Policy language is available upon request.About The JobMU Health Care is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in our Urgent Care. In this role, you will room patients, obtain and document vital signs and medical histories, prepare patients for exams, assist providers, administer medications or injections as appropriate, and perform basic clinical tests. Follow all safety, security, and infection control, policies and procedures. Perform all tasks to ensure the safety of self, patient, and co-workers.· Maintain the standards of nursing care and departmental criteria to assure they are aligned with the University of Missouri Health Care Mission and Goals.· Participates in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups.· Perform patient care duties and procedures following department policy, established protocol and standard of care, or directed by Charge Nurse.· May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.Required Qualifications· LPN:o Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state LPNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.· Medical Assistant:o Graduation from a medical assistant education program or two (2) years of medical assistant experience.o One of the following certifications within 6 months:§ Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)§ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)§ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)§ Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)§ Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)§ Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)Preferred Qualifications· Additional formal education in a health care field is preferred.· Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
