Clinical: Practice Assistant
Salem MA 01970

team is looking for temp only/ LOA coverage support starting mid- october for 8-10 week contract duration

Urgency: Immediate start (1–2 weeks post-offer/onboarding clearance). Manager seeking pipeline/candidate submissions prior to the weekend.
Reason for Opening: Backfill due to employee departure .
Role & Department Details
Work Location: 100% Onsite | 81 Highland Ave, Salem, MA (free parking available + free shuttle services)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilization of resources.
Manage and schedule appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits for patients.
Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Oversee patient registration, check-in, and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, equipment, and other clinic resources.
Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to develop and implement clinic policies, procedures, and protocols.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and other clinic management software.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree required
Degree in Healthcare Management or a related field
Experience cannot replace the education requirement.

Required Experience
3–5 years of Clinic, Office, or Hospital experience
3–5 years of Administrative Office experience
Preferred Experience
2–3 years of Leadership/Supervisory experience
