Registered Nurse - Med SurgLocation: Pagosa Springs, ColoradoAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: Day shift, 0615 to 1845, 3 days per week.Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse to provide observation and/or inpatient care to patients assigned to the Med Surg Unit. The RN will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing patient care, administering nursing care and procedures, monitoring and reassessing patients, documenting assessments and changes in condition, and educating patients and families. Collaboration with providers and supporting continuity of care to help prevent readmission is essential.Responsibilities:Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice in accordance with physician/provider orders.Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care provided.Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider.Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments accurately and timely.Complete required documentation in accordance with competencies and policies.Provide patient and family education related to disease process, treatment plans, and follow-up care.Collaborate with providers, staff, and other departments to support interdisciplinary patient care.Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient rights, dignity, and privacy.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Minimum of 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience.Previous travel experience required.Cerner EHR/EMR experience required.Current Colorado or Compact RN license.Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.Graduate of an accredited RN program required.Basic computer skills and electronic health record experience required.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
