Gift Associate

Job Summary The Gift Associate is responsible for daily processing of deposits for all charitable gifts for Augusta University and Augusta University Real Estate Foundations. The role prepares accurate, timely and complete gift receipts to comply with applicable IRS regulations, analyzes and processes daily gift batches into the donor database. Responsibilities Process daily gift batches into the Raiser's Edge database, including web donations, credit card batches, cash, checks and other transactions, applying the correct fund in accordance with donor intent, foundation policies and IRS regulations. Prepare daily gift acknowledgement letters for AUF and AUREF to ensure timely recognition of gifts. Process gifts received directly in Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement for deposit into affiliated entities and appropriate funds. Analyze gifts to determine appropriate campaigns, funds, and appeals, updating constituent data as needed. Ensure all gift documentation is obtained, scanned or filed and maintained in an organized manner. Produce daily gift batch reports, control reports and other ad‑hoc reports pertaining to gifts received. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions. OR high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and six years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with gift processing and Raiser's Edge. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Attention to detail; ability to remain organized; ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days, Monday–Friday Pay Band: B6 Hourly Salary: $18.85 – $23.56 Benefits may include health, dental, life and retirement insurance, vacation, sick leave and paid holidays. Tuition Assistance Program may be available for full‑time employees after six months of employment. Conditions of Employment Successful completion of a background check. For trust positions or roles with purchase card use, a credit check may be required. Motor vehicle reports for positions requiring vehicle use.
