Job description:

  • Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (10:30 - 21:00) (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)
  • Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
  • Weekly Hours: 40
  • Start Date: ASAP

Pay Breakdown:

  • $2,650 weekly Gross
  • ($35.10/hr w2 + $1,246/week stipend)

Requirements: 

  • 2 Years of MRI Tech Experience - Required
  • ARRT (R) and BLS Required
  • ARRT (MR) Highly preferred

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment with a leading healthcare facility. The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role ensures patient safety, maintains MRI equipment, adheres to MRI safety protocols, and delivers compassionate, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to producing exceptional diagnostic images in a fast-paced clinical environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including implants, devices, contrast contraindications, and other potential risks.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Operate MRI scanners and related equipment while following established imaging protocols.
  • Administer contrast media when authorized and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Monitor patients throughout MRI procedures and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies.
  • Evaluate image quality and repeat sequences when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Adhere to MRI safety guidelines, infection prevention standards, and organizational policies.
  • Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks, reporting malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
